Fine cutting

By cutting thin materials, the cutting force often deforms or cracks the work piece. Nearly every material and every geometry can be machined by choosing the correct laser parameters.

Cutting of glass, paper, silicon and stainless steel can be done for example with our Varydisk laser system, which is one of our Disk Laser Systems offering unprecedented flexibility in the choice of pulse duration from the femtosecond to the microsecond range.

Marking

The structures generated when marking with lasers are highly resistant. Many materials like metals, ceramics and plastics can be machined. The high flexibility enables marking of raised serial numbers, marking of non flat surfaces can be realized and innovative applications for design and security aspects are possible.

Laser Drilling

Laser drilling is distinguished by a very high aspect ratio at small dimensions. By use of the right system technique even negative conicity is possible.

Micromachining can be brought to its edge with our Varydisk laser system, which is one of our Disk Laser Systems offering unprecedented flexibility in the choice of pulse duration from the femtosecond to the microsecond range in combination with our trepanning optic for drilling with highest precision. Our trepanning optic is characterized by high accuracy and simple adjustment. Hole geometries with advanced complexity can be achieved in addition to cylindrical or conical holes with sharp edged entrances and exits.

Structuring and Engraving

Precise ablation of material surfaces is enabled by the use of short and ultrashort pulses. With specially adapted beam delivery systems the ablation of thin films or even the generation of 3D-geometries is possible.

In our D+G application lab we have the ability to use large-scale scanners for large machining areas and, therefore, can find cost effective solutions for your application.
